Terms of Service

By downloading or using the Transfer Assistant iOS application ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Description of the Service

Transfer Assistant enables users to transfer files and text messages between an iPhone and a Windows PC over a local WiFi network. The App provides a local web server and generates a unique URL that can be opened in a browser on a Windows PC to facilitate direct device-to-device transfers.

2. License

Transfer Assistant grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

3. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• The content of files and text you transfer using the App
• Ensuring you have the right to transfer any files you share
• Maintaining the security of your own devices and local network
• Using the App in compliance with all applicable laws

You agree not to use Transfer Assistant to transfer any content that is illegal, infringing, harmful, or violates the rights of others.

4. No Warranty

Transfer Assistant is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with all devices or network configurations.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Transfer Assistant and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising from your use of or inability to use the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, its name, logo, design, and code are the intellectual property of Transfer Assistant. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the App without our prior written consent.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

8. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes become effective when posted on this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Transfer Assistant operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
