Transfer Assistant takes your privacy seriously. This policy describes how we handle your information.

1. Data We Don't Collect

Transfer Assistant is designed to keep your data on your devices. We do not collect, store, or have access to:

• The files you transfer between your devices
• The text messages you send
• Your contacts, photos, or personal documents
• Your browsing history or keystrokes

2. How File Transfers Work

Transfer Assistant uses your local WiFi network to establish a direct connection between your iPhone and your Windows PC. Files and text messages travel directly between your devices over your local network. They never pass through or are stored on any external server.

3. Information We May Collect

To improve the app, we use the following services to collect minimal, anonymous diagnostic data:

• Google Analytics (Firebase Analytics) — collects anonymous usage data such as app opens, screen views, session duration, and which features are used. This helps us understand how people use the app and prioritize improvements. All data is aggregated and anonymized — it cannot be used to identify you personally.
• Firebase Crashlytics — if the app encounters a crash or error, Crashlytics automatically sends a report including the stack trace, device model, and iOS version. This helps us identify and fix bugs quickly. Crash reports do not include any of your files, messages, or personal content.
• App Store analytics — standard data provided by Apple, such as download counts and region.

All diagnostic data is anonymized and cannot be used to identify you. You can opt out of analytics collection in the app's Settings at any time.

4. Third-Party Services

Transfer Assistant uses the following third-party services for analytics and crash reporting:

• Google Analytics for Firebase — provided by Google LLC. Collects anonymous usage statistics to help us improve the app. Google may process this data in accordance with its own privacy policy. No files, messages, or personal content are shared with Google.
• Firebase Crashlytics — provided by Google LLC. Collects crash and error reports to help us diagnose and resolve technical issues. Crashlytics does not access your files, messages, or personal content.

Apart from Google Analytics and Crashlytics, Transfer Assistant does not use any other third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or tracking services. Your files and text messages travel directly between your devices over your local network and are never shared with any third party.

5. Children's Privacy

Transfer Assistant is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
